Ans op reis.... "Reisverslagen 2010"

Hello everyone,

Yesterday afternoon we landed at Rotterdam airport and few hours at home again....

Last evening at Rome we went to see a church and had dinner at our favourite restaurant and took our last pictures with our favourite waiters.

Monday morning got up at 6 and had a cup of coffee in our room and at 7 breakfast in the dining room from the hotel.

7.30 the taxi took us to the airport..... further...... walk around, get into the plane and fly home.

To day I've to go to Rotterdam.... working again. Still have to prepare. I've to start late in the afternoon with web design for dummies. That's the only thing I've to do today. So, I will prepare my lesson for to day and the one for tomorrow.

Well guys, thanx for the lovely mails and messages in the guestbook.

Next journey ....may be will be Bourgas at the end of this month.... I'm not sure about this, because may be.... I will do some little work in the house.....
But Indonesia is booked already for July 19.... this year of course.

Good afternoon,

To day is a rainy day at Rome.
We bought a day card for the public transport and took the underground to Flaminio. There we found our way to the Santa Maria del Popolo Church. We went into the church and while I was listening to the priest, Colleen walked around and watch the paintings on the walls.

After this visit we walked around in the rain and went for an espresso.


We keep walking to the Trevifountain and get soaked wet.... brrr. So what did we do????? We just took the first bus which arrived and stay at the bus till the weather was a bit better and got of again.


Lunch time.... 13.30. Pizza and pasta... wine and water.... Still so nice.

Around 15 we were back at the hotel and had a little chat with Marco behind the front desk and to our room for a rest.

The weather is not that nice to day... Lucky us... all the other days there was enough sun.

Well, I will upload some pictures and try to get out again.

Good day,

At this moment we have a rest before go out for dinner.
This morning we woke up very early, because we still had a ticket for the hop on - hop of bus. We had till 11.30 and we wanted to go to Piazza Venetia and I wanted to see some Italian design stuff.


Well.... what happened. We went for breakfast, but there was no place... full!! Like every one had an early breakfast to day. So finally we went out for breakfast and paid far too much. At least we could go to the bus on time.

At Piazza Venetia Colleen went on all the stairs.... I couldn't do that because of my legs, so I stayed downstairs and walked around a little bit.

We went to several places.... I forgot all the names, but will upload some pictures here and on FaceBook (click on the link on the right side) so you can get an idea....

After a good night sleep..... breakfast in the hotel and off to the hop on - hop off bus. On our way to the bus we passed a market and of course we went to the market first... just a taste of Rome...
Finally we end up at the ticket office and got our tickets. At 11.30 we could get on the bus. So first we had a coffee and tea before leaving. I had a bad stomach so it was good to sit down and be near a toilet.

The bus took us to several places:

13.Piazza San Bernardo / Piazza Repubblica
14.Stazione Termini

After our tour and a visit to the Vaticano.... we couldn't get in.... hundreds of people try too.... so busy.....

We went for a good lunch near our hotel and back to the hotel for a short toilet visit.

Finally we went to a few shops in our street and bought some jeans for both of us.
Wonder happened.... I found summer shoes.... nice ones.... And I bought 2 pair of shoes. Wow.....

Then rest, rest and rest and in the evening back on the road to get some dinner in our favourite restaurant.
Now we are knock-out and having a rest and go to bed early again and get up early.
The weather is still very nice. We don't need our coats. Tomorrow it will be even better than to day.... said the man behind the front desk. Sunday rain is expected... That's okay, we had a few nice days.... so why not a bit rain... :(

Well, that's it for now. I'm going to check my pictures.

We just got back in our hotel and are so very very tired en full of food.
We had a great dinner, not too much, because I was still full with all the food from this morning and this afternoon.....

Hi guys,

I'm in Rome right now. Yesterday I went to Rome with a friend, Colleen.
Both of us did not feel that well and drove to Regardz Hotel at Rotterdam Airport.

Our plane was on April 1 at 7.15 in the morning and we should be at the airport at 5.15 .... what the letters said....
That's why we'd booked a hotel. At least a few hour sleep will help us get through the first day. But.... I did not sleep at all.
We planned to park the car at the airport, but find out we could leave the car at the hotel for free, so we went to the airport by cab. Only 4 minutes.... just too far to walk....and at least we won 35 Euro by taking a cab.... hurray.....

After a 2 hour flight we arrived at the Roman airport. Our driver was waiting for us and took us to our hotel in the centre of Rome. It was a nice 45 minute trip, which was a good sightseeing too. The driver told us some nice things about Rome.
In the hotel we had a nice welcome by Pietro, which was a man with good humour and just very polite and nice and good singer too.
We put our things in our room.... unpacked the suitcases and went for a walk, drink.... etc.

Now we are having a rest in the hotel and in about an hour we will leave the hotel and find our way to Stazione Termini to find out the bus times for tomorrow. We planned to take a hop on - hop of bus for a day...
